Community Mental Health ACCESS

Health Services Access is the central entry point for all Medicaid-

eligible and indigent (uninsured) adults and children requesting Mental

Health, Public Health and or Sub- stance Abuse information and services

in Washtenaw County. Callers may receive health information and/or

referrals to a variety of community services. Individuals seeking mental

health or substance abuse treatment services receive a comprehensive

screening completed by a professional Social Worker or Public Health

Nurse. Although the majority of screenings are done over the phone,

every effort is made to accommodate any special needs callers may have.

Medication Assistance:

Most pharmaceutical companies offer supplies of their medications to qualified uninsured patients.

24 hour walk-ins and hotline. If you need help ASAP, this is the place!

Psychiatric Emergency Services is a joint program between the University

of Michigan and Washtenaw County Community Mental Health serving

the residents of Washtenaw County and the patients of the University of

Michigan Health System. Psychiatrists and other mental health professionals

provide emergency assistance for adults, children, and families in crisis 24

 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Huron Valley Child Guidance Clinic
Counseling for children from infancy to age 18. Individual, group, and family counseling offered. Sliding-scale fees; Medicaid and other insurance accepted. Respite care to assist families of special needs children. Long-term and short-term care available.

The Community Center provides counseling services to individuals,

families, and groups. Areas covered include parenting skills training for

teens and adults, family counseling, and counseling that focuses on social

and emotional adjustment.

The psychology clinic has an extensive list of programs to assess and treat adults and children. The cost of services is on a sliding scale based on annual family income.

Full Circle Community Center
Supports members recovering from mental illness as they become more

fully participating citizens of the community. Provides opportunities

for leisure, health, a sense of belonging, and self-acceptance. Works in
