Michigan Tenant Counseling Program
Non-profit organization dedicated to tenant control over safe,

decent, affordable, and accessible housing including referrals

to attorneys. Services offered free of charge to Washtenaw

County residents.

Housing Bureau for Seniors
Provides housing counseling to older adults, helps with evaluating options, making selections and managing transitions to new living situations, helps seniors remain in their homes by arranging shared living, helps senior homeowners manage and pay their property taxes, coordinates community resources to identify and resolve senior tenant problems to help avoid eviction. Also provides advocacy, information and referral.

Fair Housing Center of Southeastern Michigan
Provide investigative services (testing), advice, advocacy,

conciliation, attorney referral, and community education to

anyone who thinks they have been discriminated against in

housing on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including

sexual harassment), sexual orientation, national origin, familial

status, disability, age, marital status, student status, or source

of income.

National Fair Housing Online Advocate
The National Fair Housing Advocate Online is a resource

designed to serve both the fair housing advocacy community

and the general public with timely news and information

regarding the issues of housing discrimination.

Washtenaw County Home Weatherization Program
Energy-saving materials such as insulation, weather-stripping and caulking are installed free of charge in qualified homes. The program also covers small repairs to doors and windows. Major improvements such as furnaces and roof replacements are made when funding permits.
