Emergency Housing  

Delonis Center
Offers emergency housing for both male and female homeless.

90 days maximum stay. Variety of services and referrals to help

homeless get back on their feet.

Father Patrick Jackson House
Non-denominational, not-for-profit organization serving homeless,

pregnant and parenting adolescents ages 14-18 y/o and their children.

The Program provides information and referral regarding adolescent

pregnancy, as well as residential and community-based supportive

services.

Rotating shelter provided by local churches for homeless

Staples Family Center
Provides a 90 day program to single individual and families in order to help them become independent and assists with mainly with housing arrangement, in addition to employment and other related matters.

Develops and manages permanent affordable housing for people who are homeless and for people with very low incomes. Call for application information.

Prospect Place Family Shelter
Provides apartments for up to 7 families as well as help with education on life

skills, such as parenting, nutrition, and tenants rights and responsibilities.

Ann Arbor Housing Commission Public Housing
Federally subsidized housing provides affordable housing to "low income" people with rent typically set at about 1/3 of an individuals income. Please check out their web site for more details. Wait list may be extensive.

Ann Arbor Housing Commission Section 8
A Section 8 rental subsidy is a federal payment to a landlord on behalf of an individual tenants with the tenants paying 30 percent of household income for rent and the rest subsidized by the government.

Crisis Center The Housing Crisis Services Team provides information

and referral services, short-term crisis counseling, limited financial assistance

when available, and coordination of services with other agencies for families
