ATTENTION DEFICIT Treatment Plan

  Problems:
       
Inattention sufficient to interfere with social, academic or occupational functioning Work habits are disorganized and often materials are scattered, lost of handled carelessly and often gets damaged
Messy, careless performances without considered thought Easily distracted by irrelevant stimuli
Frequent shifts from one activity to another without completion Forgetful in daily activities
Difficulty with organization Trouble following conversations
       

 

Subjective experience that activities requiring sustained mental efforts are experienced as unpleasant and aversive

 

   
  Goals:    
       
Reduce impulsivity leading to better judgment and more appropriate behavior Improve attention and concentration leading to greater efficiency and productivity both at work and in personal life
       
  Objectives:    
       
Cooperate with complete psychological testing and psychiatric evaluations Develop relaxation techniques to reduce tension and restlessness
Comply with psychiatric treatment recommendations including medications Use various techniques such as organizers, sticky notes, lists etc… to help cope with problems with inattention
Demonstrate improved insight and judgment into impulsive behavior and develop more appropriate problem solving skills
