The following is a list of resources in Ann Arbor that provides secondhand clothing at no-cost or low cost.   Some of these providers have their own web site and are identified with an underline.

Ann Arbor Community Center
Used clothing, furniture, and small household appliances are

available free to persons in need. Individuals are eligible to

receive donations on a walk in basis and through referrals

from other agencies. Clothing items available are usually

seasonal, and as many items as are needed can be taken.

Ann Arbor Thrift Shop
Not to be confused with the "Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop",

 The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop helps the community by

selling high quality, gently used items to the public and

using the proceeds to aid residents in the Ann Arbor area.

House by the Side of the Road
Provides free clothing and sometimes small appliances and household goods. Needs referral from a recognized social service agency. Mon-Fri 10am-2pm.

Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop
Non-profit thrift shop run by the public school providing

 low cost clothing and other items. Receipts support

Ann Arbor Public School students and their various

projects.

Kiwanis
Free clothing may be obtained with referral and voucher. Vouchers are provided only via referral from recognized social service agency and only from those staff who have completed Kiwanis referral training. These vouchers may be redeemed on Thursday mornings 9:30 - 11:30 A.M. Low cost at Saturday rummage sale 9:00 A.M. - Noon.
